After four years, 3,208 clinical hours, and 557 patients, Marcus graduated with a Master of Science degree in Traditional Asian Medicine (MTAM) from the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz California.
In addition, Marcus completed a Sports Medicine Program and a Tuina (Chinese Style Orthopedic Massage) certification program. Marcus also attended a yearlong internship at La Plazita Medical Clinic in Watsonville, California, practicing acupuncture and learning western clinical skills under a Physicians Assistant. Simultaneously, during the final year of his Masters program, Marcus finished a yearlong 308-hour Western Medicine Orthopedics program with Dr. Lerner of Lerner Education in Los Angeles, California.
Marcus has taken an integrative approach to his specialties, by learning and studying Traditional Asian Medicine and modern Western Medicine. Marcus Rhoden's goal includes the full integration of his Traditional Chinese Medicine studies with his Western Medicine studies by completing the Physician Assistant Program.
